また、時間が飛んでいますが、本日は10月28日です。前回の復習が15日。その間にあったこと。

母と温泉に行きました。そのあと、色打掛を着て写真をとりました。せっかく、撮ったのに、ちょっと見た限りでは最悪のできでした。着物はよかったのに、モデルが悪いというやつでしょうか。正直、自己評価が高すぎたのかもしれません。自分がもっとかわいいと思っていました。現実をつきつけられたのでしょうか。

写真館は一生懸命やってくれたとは思います。ただ、スタッフの一人が休みで、急遽別の支店からかけつけてくれたそうなのですが、そのスタッフが着付けの人なのではないかと思うのです。だから、大慌てで着付けをやって、終わったら支店に戻ったと思うんです。

着物がね・・・前の空きがないくらい、キツキツに着せられてしまって、首が短く肩に顔がのっているようになってしまったんですよね。自分では気づかなかったんですが・・・

これ、着付けの人が残っていてくれたら、ちょっときついな、と調整も可能だったかもしれないけど、他の人は着付けはできないから、ずらせないじゃないですか。

あと、カメラマンが「あごひいて」って言い続けるんですよね。私、撮影前にあごひくと二重顎になるから、ひきたくないってお伝えしたんですけど、伝わっていなかったんですかね。あと、顎引くのではなく、背中をそらして、後頭部の位置を後ろにすると

、いいらしいですね。二重顎にならずに、あごをひけるそうですね。撮影が終わってネットで調べて知りました。先に調べておくべきでしたよね。

せっかく、高いお金を出して、写真をとったのに、3頭身になっていました。本物のでデータは来週取りにいくんですけど、もういらない！っていうくらいの気持ちです。本物はもう少しマシかも知れないとも思うんですけどね。

髪をアップにして、おでこ全開にする、花をたくさんつける、これはね、私がやりたかったことなんですよ。似合っているかどうかは別の話・・・やりたいことと、似合うかどうか。やりたいことをやったんだからここは納得だけど、なぜ着付けがあんなにきつかったのか。モデルの写真見ると、多少は空いているんですよ。首がすっとみえる・・・なのに・・泣きたいですよ。

I kept track of how much I spend on food, shopping, and commute for a month. I found out that the amount I spent on food was disproportionately high.

2. Something is a tough call when it’s a hard decision to make.

I’m still really unsure if I should buy a house or just keep renting an apartment. It’s a tough call.

My son’s really bright. He’s at the top of his class every year. I’m really proud of him!

Why on earth did she get a dog? She’s always at work or out partying. There’s no way she’ll be able to take care of him properly!

1. To weigh the pros and cons means to consider the good and bad parts of something.

I weighed the pros and cons and decided not to take the job. The pay is better, but the daily 2-hour commute wouldn’t be worth it.

2. To broaden one’s horizons means to learn new things and gain new experiences.

Studying in a foreign country will broaden your horizons.

Floppy disks are basically extinct. I haven’t seen one in years!

I know. But, the sooner you get your tooth checked, the better. It might be something serious.
