Lesson 1 - 4 Review and Kawaii Culture
１３日、１４日とレッスンを受けています。
１３日は、レビューレッスンで次のような表現をおさらいしました。
dressed to the nines

- can’t deal with someone/something
先生は、明るくて楽しいです。
１４日は、獣医の先生。相変わらず、たんたんと進んでしまう・・・
1. When something is very cute, you can say that it’s adorable.
I couldn’t help but hug the stuffed bear I saw! It was so adorable!
2. The mecca for something/someone is a place that many people want to visit because it is either very popular or very important for a certain thing or type of person.
My dream is to go to Broadway! It’s the mecca for theater.
3. When someone says that something is so cute/ugly/stupid it hurts, he/she thinks it’s extremely cute/ugly/stupid.
Did you hear why he said he quit his job? The reason is so stupid it hurts.
いろいろな先生がいる。
質問されて、答えるとそこからどんどん話を膨らませて、自分の体験を話して、また私に戻してくれる先生。これは盛り上がるし、フィリピンの人の体験や考えを聞けて楽しい。
割とトピックについて、自分でずっとしゃべってしまう先生。これはこれで、思いもよらぬ話が聞けるので楽しい。
自分の話はそこそこで、私が答えた内容をグイグイ聞いてきて、Skypeで写真を送って！というくらいの先生。
私が一番いいのは、１番の先生で、こういうタイプの先生を中心にお願いしている。２と３は、今の所ひとりづつしか知らなくて、２人は人気なのであまり頼めない。
獣医の先生は、あまり私の話に興味をもって聞かないタイプなので、もうやめようかな。獣医ということで２回めを受けたけど、普通なら、１回で終わるところだ。土日にレッスンをオープンしているので、いいかなと思ったが、それなら、土曜日の先生にお願いしたほうがいいかもしれない。
