今日はベテランの先生で、話しやすくてよかった。細かい指摘もしてくれた。こういうフィードバックがあったほうがいいのかな、やはり。ないタイプ、あるタイプ交互がいいのかもしれない。

今日の内容

1. Cheapskate is a negative term for people who don’t like to spend money.

He doesn’t like shopping because he’s a cheapskate.

2. To go Dutch means to pay for your own expenses when you go out with someone.

We always go Dutch when we eat out.

3. To live beyond one’s means means to spend more money than you actually have.

She has a lot of debt because she lives beyond her means.

ちなみにgo Dutch の由来。先生も知らなくて、Wikipediaかなにかからの引用だ。

フィードバックに次の指摘があった。

最近、藤井聡太二冠を尊敬しすぎて、その話し方のモノマネを練習しているのだが、そのくせが知らず識らずのうちに出てしまっているのだろうか？

尊敬しているのは指し方なんだから、もう話し方のモノマネはやめて、指し方を真似したい。

講師の選び方のコツとして

・勤続年数が1年以上で、総合評価が高い

・予約がうまっている

という条件を意識するとよさそうだ。

年数が9年、評価が高く、いつみても予約がいっぱいの先生がいて

どんだけすごいのだろうかと思いを馳せている。

私は予約できたことがないが、いつかお願いしたいと思い、ブックマーク登録だけしている。

初めての先生は緊張するな、同じ先生を何度も指名するのも照れくさいな、という感じがある。

今日のフィリピン豆知識

誕生日の日は、誕生日の人がごちそうする。

周りの人は、その人にプレゼントを送るけど、カードとかでもいい。

そんな誕生日はきびしいな・・・誕生日隠してひっそり生きるな。
