復習が、日記が追いつきませんね。

こうして習った表現は骨肉となっているのであろうか・・・

英会話は上達しているのだろうか?

そろそろスピーキングテストも受けなければ・・・・・

 

1. If someone is known as something, it means that a person is usually called by a name that isn’t his/her real name.


My boyfriend’s real name is Tim, but at work, he’s known as TJ.

 

2. If something fits someone’s personality, it means that it matches his/her personality well.


Her nickname’s Bookworm Betty. It fits her personality because she reads a lot.

 

3. Use the phrase That makes sense. to say that something is understandable.


Liam told me he was nicknamed Tiny as a kid. That makes sense. He was really small.

 

 

1. To buckle down means to start working on something seriously.


I need to buckle down and focus on my studies, or I might not pass.

 

2. To fool around means to spend time doing unnecessary or silly things.


Stop fooling around! You have an interview tomorrow that you need to prepare for.

 

3. To reach for the stars means to try to achieve something very difficult.


My mom always encouraged me to reach for the stars, and look at me now! I own two three-star restaurants.
